So I stitched out this design.
A very cute Kokeshi Doll. (The set came with 12 different designs) But I had trouble with some puckering. Can you see it here?
So I spent a good bit of time today reading about how to avoid puckering. I was using white Kona cotton and cut away stabilizer with spray adhesive. One tip was to use medium weight fabric. Apparently quilting weight cotton like Kona cotton is just not always heavy enough. So I tried another design on white flannel.
A monkey, of course. This one turned out so much better–no puckers. Check out this set and this set. Aren’t these just the cutest? Wouldn’t this set of monkeys make a cute child’s quilt? I need more time.
