I’ve been working on my applique Floribunda quilt from 2 years back. This is block 10. Just 2 to go and the middle block.

Now I’m inspired to finish. (I hope)

This is the project that taught me hand applique. I’m eternally thankful to Erin Russek over at One Piece at a Time. She did a BOM in 2010 with tutorials.

One thing I love about the project is I can see my technique improving with each block. This is block one.

Nothing to write home about. But each block I did got a little better as you can see from the first few pics at the top. Here is the finished quilt. Not mine, hers.

Isn’t it lovely?  See why I’m inspired to finish?

About ladybelle

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother and I love to make things, especially sock monkeys. They're great for all kinds of gifts, birthdays, baby showers, etc. Kids love them and so do adults!! I've made many football players, including Peyton Manning, Tony Romo and Tom Brady, and character monkeys like Rainbow Brite and the Grinch. Oh these blocks are gorgeous!! Just my sort of style. I would love to be able to create that quilt. Better finish my other one first I think.
