Sunbonnet Sue and Fisherman Fred

A few months ago Embroidery Library had a sale on Sunbonnet Sue designs.  Since my daughter and I go nuts over Sue we purchased a few of them.

Here, you see, Sue went to Paris. And apparently,

she took Fred along. Of course you can’t get Sue without getting Fred, right? Apparently, they went on a world tour because…

here she is in Mexico where she bought a really fancy dress and went to the desert to dance. It turns out these designs take about 2 hours each to stitch out. But they will make a really cute quilt (or 2 or 3)  Did I mention we got a little carried away?  Three down and 36 to go.

About ladybelle

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother and I love to make things, especially sock monkeys. They're great for all kinds of gifts, birthdays, baby showers, etc. Kids love them and so do adults!! I've made many football players, including Peyton Manning, Tony Romo and Tom Brady, and character monkeys like Rainbow Brite and the Grinch. Those are just TOO CUTE! I’m so mad at myself, I forgot to get my $10 birthday gift from them this year. LOVE their designs, although they can be very dense – I’m not surprised they took so long to stitch out!

I agree they are too dense. But they have so many $1 sales, I can’t resist. Where do you get your designs? I’d like to find a better place that’s not too expensive.
